The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a government grant that helps homeowners in England and Wales swap fossil-fuel heating for a low-carbon heat pump. It’s run by Ofgem, it isn’t means-tested, and because it’s a grant, there’s nothing to pay back.
Most eligible homes get £7,500 towards an air source or ground source heat pump. If your home is off the gas grid and you’re replacing oil or LPG heating, that rises to £9,000 – but only until 31 March 2027. We’ll confirm your exact amount during your free survey.
Yes. ECO4 funding is winding down and new places are now very limited, but you don’t need ECO4 to upgrade your home. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme has no income test, and our £0 upfront finance makes solar affordable. Get in touch and we’ll check every option available to you.

If you own a home or small business property in England or Wales and you’re replacing gas, oil, LPG or electric heating, there’s a good chance you qualify. There’s no income limit. The heat pump does need to fully replace your old system — keeping your boiler as a backup doesn’t count.
